NATIONAL RADIO HALL OF FAME
The National Radio Hall of Fame (www.radiohof.org) on 4 August 2010 announced its induction of Music & the Spoken Word, in the National-Pioneer category. Induction is won by listener balloting. Music & the Spoken word joins other legendary programs thus honored, such as CBS Radio Mystery Theatre, Grand Ol' Opry, The Shadow, and Mercury Theater on the Air. Westwood One Radio Networks will produce and distribute the live two hour induction broadcast on Saturday November 6, 2010 at 10PM (ET) from The Mayne Stage in Chicago.
NAB HALL OF FAME
Music & the Spoken Word was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Hall of Fame April 20. 2004. In the Hall of Fame, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir joins names such as Bob Hope, Benny Goodman and Bing Crosby.
